WELLNESS
Charles
is known nationally for his work in promoting wellness and education
of wellness professionals. He has worked with the American Heart
Association, the Network for Wellness and the United Cerebral
Palsy Association.
He also helped
organize and coordinate the formation of The Capitol Area Wellness
Coalition (a joint project of the American Cancer Society, the
American Heart Association, the Association of Worksite Health
Promotion, and the Texas Department of Human Services).
He is a regular
at the National Wellness Conference in Wisconsin teaching Yoga,
Meditation, and Presenting in 1992, 1994, 1995 & 1997. In 1996
he presented at the National Education Wellness Seminar in Arizona.
In 1997 he presented at the Heart Association's Women and Family
Heart Conference, and in 1999 he was the keynote speaker for the
Protective & Regulatory Services Conference.
Seton Hospital
has twice invited Charles as their Key Note speaker for the Cardiac
Rehabilitation Conference, talking on Stress Management for Nurses,
and on The Mind/Body Connection.
Charles currently
works with Cardiac Patients with the Austin Heart Hospital and
was recently a featured speaker with the American Heart Association.
He presented
on Yoga and on Meditation at the Omega sponsored conference on
The Heart of Happiness May 2002.
