Participants are responsible for arranging
for, and paying their own roundtrip transportation to
Puerto Vallarta.
Puerto Vallarta has an international
airport and is easy to access. Please try to book your
flights as soon as possible. It is often difficult to
find tickets to Puerto Vallarta if you wait too long.
Flights out of San Antonio usually run between $350
to $500 for round trip to Puerto Vallarta. Tickets may
cost more depending upon airline and city of departure.
If you have difficulty finding a ticket,
you might consider arriving a day or two early, and
or staying a day or two after the retreat. This makes
it much easier to find a ticket, and gives you time
to adjust to a different pace of life, coming and going.
Charles usually flies in a day early, to relax in Puerto
Vallarta (rooms start at $30 U.S. / night) and stays
on in Yelapa for a few days after the retreat (palapas
starting at $30/night). There are usually a lot of other
participants who elect to add a few days to the end
of their trip so you would have plenty of company with
new friends if you decide to stay.
If you do not have a travel agent, you
might consider calling Mark Hernandez (specializes in
Latin American Travel) at A-Aaeros
Travel Inc. 1000 East 7th St. Ste 201 Austin, TX
78702.
Work phone: (512) 708 1940

Another option to consider is flying
on one of the Latin American Airlines. For information
on these flights you can visit: http://www.wonderlink.com
There are also lots of on-line travel
sites that provide discounted ticket sales. If you want
more information about these, email
Charles for specifics.

If you arrive in Puerto
Vallarta on Saturday, the day of the retreat, you will
receive written directions for catching a taxi from
the Puerto Vallarta Airport directly to a little beach
restaurant called Cuates y Cuetes, which is right in
front of the Hotel Marsol and 50 feet from where we
catch the water taxi. Charles MacInerney will meet you
at the restaurant, where you can store your luggage
for the afternoon while you go sight seeing or shopping.
If you have arrived earlier
in the week, you will meet us at 4 p.m. at Cuates y
Cuetes restaurant, next to Playa del Muerto Pier where
we catch the water taxi to Yelapa.
Hotel
Marsol is right on Playa De Los Muertos Beach, 50 feet
from the pier where you will meet in the late afternoon
to catch the water taxi to Yelapa. In the meantime,
you might want relax on one of the numerous beach restaurants,
or perhaps go shopping. There are plenty of shops, bakeries,
coffee shops, and pharmacies within 3 blocks of the
Hotel Marsol. Bottled water is available everywhere,
even in Yelapa!
