Mantra Meditation Join us for some gentle stretching and relaxation followed by an introduction to Mantra Meditation. Mantric yoga uses sound to help shape consciousness. Repetition of mantras can be used to silence our inner dialog, allowing us to experience a deeper level of silence. We will explore the Universal Mantra - So Haun, and experience how to use it to achieve a relaxed, alert and centered state of consciousness. |

Attitude in Asana In this asana class we will experience how attitude can impact our performance and our enjoyment of our yoga practice, and also have significant impact on our health. We will use different attitudes to increase our strength, endurance, flexility, balance, relaxation and alignment. We will also learn how to use attitude to stretch not only muscles but also fascia and connective tissue. Once you have learned how to use attitude to enhance your practice of yoga, it will be easy to see how you can use these same attitudinal adjustments to enhance the quality of your life beyond the yoga studio. |

We will practice each of these approaches in a variety of asanas. Students will be encouraged to experiment in order to find out for themselves which of these approaches best meets their needs in a variety of situations. We will also look at tricks you can use in active stretches in some of the most common asanas as well as working with sandbags. AUDIENCE TESTIMONIALS "I attended Mr. MacInerney's presentation
on Self-Awareness Tools for Self-Transformation" at the 1997 National
Wellness Conference in Wisconsin. It was a profound, life-changing experience!
He provided tools and insights that I began using immediately, as I walked
out the door; as well as ideas and seeds that served as catalysts for
short term and long term goals in my own life, and in the presentations
I share. Thank you for opening yourself to this audience!" Kim
Quinn, Nurse, Montessori Teacher, Trainer/Facilitator
"On several occasions I have invited Charles MacInerney to share his remarkable gifts with my class in drawing and design. In 34 years of teaching I have not witnessed such an exponential leap in creativity in such a short period of time.... I was personally surprised that after years of teaching my vision was immensely expanded. In essence, Mr. MacInerney nurtured each individual, encouraged the process of individuation and infused the group's collective potential with a new synergy." Vincent Mariani, University of Texas, Professor, Department of Art
"Thank you so much for an excellent workshop last Friday. I'm certain that the information you shared will be remembered and used throughout the academic year. As a matter of fact, during our afternoon session, we had the opportunity to use our newly acquired 'fly fishing' technique. The creativity that emerged during the brainstorming process was incredible!" Renee Moore, University of the Incarnate Word, Dean of Student Life
"I have recommended his classes to everyone I know, and will continue to do so as long as he chooses to teach." Denise Gamino, Austin American Statesman Reporter
"Charles facilitated our initial team leader organizational day. His innovative delivery, caring style and creative skills, got us off to a soaring start." Sandy Aiken, Director of Motorola's Wellness Program
