Full Moon Madness

Once a month, on or close to the full moon, Charles leads a free, outdoor Yoga and Meditation Class at a scenic overlook in Austin, Texas. We do some gentle Hatha Yoga, a 20 minute meditation, watch the sun set and the full moon rise, and then visit with one another and enjoy the scenery.

These classes are free and are open to anyone that is able to climb the hill, regardless of age or experience. Even well behaved pets are welcome.

Yoga Video

free yoga videoA free Hatha Yoga video is available to Austin area residents who have access to cable TV. This is a video produced by Charles MacInerney when he first started teaching yoga, and was donated to Austin Public Access TV in 1992. Call ACTV's programming department at (512) 478-8600, Ext.15 and ask for tapes # A-4189 and # A-4190, "Hatha Yoga with Charles MacInerney."

It is best to call on Wednesdays. They will tell you when it is next scheduled to air, or they will air it for you at your convenience. If you have a VCR, you can then tape the show.

This tape was made as part of the guest programer series. It was done entirely by Charles MacInerney's yoga students who had no prior experience with camera operation or control booth operation. It was shot with one take for 90 minutes and it has not been edited. Even so, it is not a bad video, especially for the price (free)! The first 30 minutes is a conversation between Charles MacInerney and a fellow yoga teacher, Carla Davis. The last 60 minutes is a Hatha Yoga workout and is worth taping for repeated viewing.
