December 27, 2025 – January 3, 2026

 Charles MacInerney & Michelle Fajkus
Villa Sumaya, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala

Step Into the New Year with Clarity and Purpose

As one chapter closes and a new one begins, there’s a sacred invitation to pause, reflect, and realign with what matters most. The transition into a new year is a powerful threshold—a chance to release what no longer serves you and welcome fresh possibilities with open-hearted clarity and courageous intention.

Join us at the breathtaking shores of Lake Atitlán, a place revered for its deep spiritual energy, for a transformative week of renewal and visioning. This soul-nourishing retreat weaves together yoga, meditation, journaling, sacred Mayan wisdom, and heart-opening ceremonies. Together, we’ll honor the gifts of 2025 and step boldly into 2026 aligned with our deepest truths.

Guided by seasoned yoga teachers Charles MacInerney and Michelle Margaret Fajkus, this retreat beautifully bridges the practical and the mystical. You’ll learn to set meaningful intentions and goals from a place of authentic flow, while attuning to the sacred rhythms of the Mayan cosmovision—a living wisdom tradition that calls us to grow, evolve, and walk our path in harmony with nature and spirit.

Come home to yourself. Begin the new year with clarity, courage, and wholehearted joy.

Why This Retreat?

The Mayan calendar teaches us that time moves in cycles—a sacred spiral of growth, reflection, and renewal. As we prepare to close the chapter of 2025 and step into the fresh beginnings of 2026, this retreat offers the space and support to release old patterns and intentionally plant the seeds for your next adventure.

Held at Villa Sumaya, a renowned eco-retreat center on the mystical shores of Lake Atitlán, our week together weaves purposeful structure with spacious freedom. Through daily yoga, meditation, transformative workshops, cultural connection, and restorative time to simply be, you’ll reconnect with your inner compass—and realign with the life you are meant to live.

What to Expect

Each day is thoughtfully designed to nourish both body and spirit, blending gentle yet empowering yoga, meditation, inspired writing prompts, and transformational workshops based on Charles’ book Toxic Goals, Flow & the Pursuit of Excellence. Together, we’ll dive into:

  • How to recognize and release “toxic goals” that drain joy and energy

  • How to clarify your true desires using creative practices like mind mapping

  • How to design an action plan that aligns with your soul’s deepest calling

You’ll also receive a personalized Mayan day sign reading and take part in a sacred fire ceremony led by a local Mayan spiritual guide—an unforgettable experience to anchor your intentions and blessings for the year ahead.
